Saturday the 9th of May 2015,
On Saturday I went to London with Celine and Hanne.
I woke up just after 7, had some breakfast and took the bus at 8:17. I met Celine and Hanne at the central coach station in Oxford. We took the x90 bus to London at nine. After a nice bus ride we reached London. We had planned to meet Niels at Victoria station, but couldn't find him initially. After some searching and trying to call him we found him.
We began our London experience with a coffee. Having done that we took the underground to Tower Hill. We walked around the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge. When we had seen that we took the underground to Westminster. We did a photo-session on the bridge, with the houses of parliament in the background.
When we were walking towards Piccadilly the weather got better. The sun began shining, and it didn't stop for the entire day.
We did some sightseeing, had lunch at a small cafe and chilled in the park for some time.
When looking for the M&M store we ran into an anti-austerity protest. Clearly some folks weren't very excited with Cameron winning the elections. There was a large police force guiding them.
We ultimately found the M&M store, which was huge. After some wandering around we went to look for a place to eat. We ended up at an Italian restaurant.
After we finished dinner we went on with exploring London. We walked through Chinatown and what appeared to be London's nightlife center.
We ended up sitting in St James Park after getting a snack at a supermarket. Near the park was a VE day (victory in Europe) celebration. When we were going back to Victoria Station we ran into some more police. There were really much officers. We didn't know why, but eventually we found out that the demonstration had gone out of hand.
We got to Victoria, took the coach to Oxford and ended up home around half past 11. I had an extraordinary nice day. Maybe I will post some pictures of it later.
